Originally developed for NASCAR, the 1969 Dodge Daytona and the 1970 Plymouth Superbird were the dominant winners at the 1969 and 1970 NASCAR Super Speedways. Our parts will transform your 2008-2023 Dodge Challenger into the modern version of those legendary cars. They are designed for aerodynamic efficiency and improved handling at top speeds. From the detailed design of the nose to the signature look of the spoiler the Superbird/Daytona were created for one reason - pure dominance! You will be the top dog at ALL car shows and talk of the town! And just like scars, the chicks dig them too!

Continuing the legacy:

After the success of the retro Charger and Challenger, Chrysler looked into developing a retro Superbird. They contracted the project with HPP (Heide Performance Products). HPP designed a Superbird/Daytona (SB/D) using the 2008+ Challenger as the base car. The plan was to have customers order and pick up their SB/D from their Dodge dealer after HPP made the conversion.

Unfortunately, Chrysler immediately went bankrupt and could not proceed with the project. HPP continued and produced about 100 Superbirds and Daytonas. Included were 25 for Richard Petty Enterprise.

In 2017 Michigan Vehicle Solutions bought the business and built about 100 cars. In 2025 Open Throttle Customs bought the business. The gold Superbird shown is the first car we have built. Our intention is primarily to produce and sell the parts which are designed for easy installation by any reputable car customizing shop. We can install the parts on a customer-provided car with paint to match aand are happy to add other custom touches (e.g. pinstripes, graphics, flames, etc.) so you can have the HOTTEST car around.
